BOS 2.0 & Common Premises

To increase the UN’s efficiency and support the 2030 Agenda, the UN Secretary General mandated all UN Country Teams to comply with the new BOS 2.0 by 2020 and kick-start the move towards common premises in 2021. This required a global training programme to enhance staff’s capacity to lead the BOS and CP in their respective countries.

After a preliminary learning needs analysis to identify knowledge gaps, we created various user personas to help structure and design the content, activities and assessments.

We developed 15+ Rise modules with real-life scenarios, storytelling techniques, graphics and workbooks, and did the final quality check. For content design, we worked together with UN HQ in New York and for implementation with the UN Staff College in Turin.

By training UN operations staff, Resident Coordinators and UNCTs with this online programme, the UN has been able to eliminate duplication, leverage their common bargaining power, and maximize the economies of scale.
